2yrs. Who decided that?

I'm a bartender from Fl, the sunshine state. We ,husband and I, had to relocate w/family to SoCal. I'm trying to get hired as a bartender but can't. They want 2yrs solid. I'm shy by about 5mos. what advice can you give?
