i'm not really good and cocktail but i wonder when you guys shake drink using a shaker, how long will you shake?! is there any guideline about the time spend on shaking? will that make the drink taste bad if i shake toooooo long?!

I just go on instinct. I don't think you need to shake it too long. Plus, my bar is very high volume so I don't have time to have a romance with it. For me it's about 5 hard shakes and pour.
