Wright gets the win, but no title

To the delight of his many fans, Mr. Jamie Wright defeated "The Legendary" Eclipso Saturday night in the main event as American Championship Wrestling (ACW) returned the National Guard Armory in Rocky Mount.
However, the celebration was short lived.
The special title match required two out of three falls to declare the victor.
After the pre-match introductions, Eclipso took his world -famous baseball bat and proceeded to pound Wright until the rookie was out in the middle of the ring.
To further incapacitate Wright, Eclipso took a chair from ringside and delivered multiple chair shots to his head. In addition, the champion used the legs of the chair to choke out Wright until he blacked out.
Referee, Ric Petty, immediately called for the bell and gave the first fall to Wright via disqualification. Then, Petty declared Wright only had one minute to prepare for the start of the second fall.
As the ring announcer counted down the minute, Wright still laid motionless in the ring. Eclipso quickly took advantage and pinned Wright to win the second fall.
The match was tied one to one.Other wrestlers from the locker room including Wright's tag partner, Big Yella, came to ring side to assist him out of the ring and to his feet.
Yella and company decided that Wright was unable to continue and proceeded to take him back to the locker room. But, Wright would not be denied and he broke free from his friends to enter the ring and take the offense to Eclipso.
The match continued with Eclipso delivering the punishment he had promised Wright.Wright survived both a pile driver and top rope suplex to stay in the match. Eclipso was still in control of the match when out of nowhere, the challenger landed a super kick to the champ's jaw.
Wright went for the pin and after the referee counted to three the fans started a wild celebration as Wright secured the third fall.
Big Yella came from the back and grabbed the title belt from the ringside announcer's table to present it to his longtime friend.
As the duo celebrated the victory, Eclipso recovered from the super kick and approached Petty. After a quick conference, Petty approached the ring announcer and he delivered stunning news.
"The winner of the match-Mr. Jamie Wright. However, since the first fall was by disqualification and a title cannot change hands by disqualification, still your Universal Heavyweight Champion "The Legendary Eclipso!" ring announcer "The Flo" proclaimed to a crowd in disbelief.
"This is why I am the champion. I outsmarted Wright, his friends, his mom, and every other redneck in the building. I knew the title could not change hands on a disqualification. I love it when a plan comes together," Eclipso said after the match.
"If your beloved Hillbilly Helbert can keep his Television title belt by disqualification like last month, then I don't understand why everyone is so upset?" Eclipso said.

"Sgt. Jim Nelson won by disqualification over Col. Spud Wade in a Boot Camp match. For the match, wrestlers surrounded the ring and provided assistance to the referee if anyone left the mat by "helping" them back into the ring.
After a brutal battle, a masked wrestler from ringside who had not been seen at any past ACW event, entered the ring and attacked Nelson resulting in a disqualification for Wade.

""Dirty Deeds" Eddie Loco and Robbie Lynn defeated Hillbilly Hilbert and Big Yella. Loco once again used his "loaded" boot, kicked Yella in the head, and pinned him for the win.

""American Made" Scott Weddle and Foxy Roxy defeated Ken Steel and Scott Lee when Foxy pinned Lee for the victory.
After the match, Eclipso entered the ring with a can of dog food and made Roxy fulfill a promise to eat dog food for losing a match last month against Eclipso's manager, Douglas J Wentworth, III.
Wentworth was so humiliated last month that he was a no show for Eclipso's championship match at this event.

"Wade defeated Ace England in a quick match that saw Wade continue his onslaught after the bell sounded.
