Eclipso and company win ACW tag-team main event

The team of Ken Steel, Col. Spud Wade, and "The Legendary" Eclipso were victorious against Scott Weddle, Foxy Roxy, and Hillbilly Helbert Saturday night as American Championship Wrestling (ACW) returned to the Rocky Mount National Guard Armory.
Rolling Thunder, who accompanied Weddle, Roxy, and Helbert at ringside, would get five minutes in the ring against Eclipso's manager, Douglas J. Wentworth, III Esq. if Thunder's team was victorious.
Thunder wanted revenge against Wentworth because he attacked Roxy at last month's event and made Foxy eat dog food. During the match, Thunder continuously tried to get his hands on Wentworth which led to the all-star's team downfall.
Towards the end of the match, Thunder and Wentworth were exchanging words when Roxy delivered a top- rope splash outside of the ring onto Wentworth.Weddle and Steel joined in the melee too. Helbert was left in the ring with both Eclipso and Wade who proceeded to double-team him while the referee, Ric Petty, was distracted. Wade delivered a diamond cutter on Helbert to get the three count.
Eclipso, proud of Wade's accomplishments, demanded a title match for him against Helbert who is the television champion.

Wrestling legend Sandy Scott, who apparently has been granted authority from the ACW commissioner, has booked the match for the next ACW card here June 6.

In other action:

"During an interview segment, Eclipso came out to confront Mr. Jamie Wright about recent complaints about their championship match last month. Apparently many ACW fans have filed complaints with the promotion that Wright should be the champion. Eclipso told the fans that the decision was accurate and will not be reversed.
Furthermore, Wright will not get a rematch since he had his shot and failed. Wentworth continued to tell the crowd they need to get over it when out of nowhere Wright landed a super kick on Eclipso and leveled the champ. A furious Eclipso and Wentworth left the ring still claiming that Wright would not get a rematch.

Also during the interview segment, Wentworth continued to challenge the mayor of Rocky Mount (Steve Angle) to show up at any ACW event and face him one on one.
"Every event, I leave two free tickets at the door for the mayor of Rocky Mount to show up and face me. He has yet to take me up on it. I am ready when he is," Wentworth said.

"The Masked Mauler did not collect the ,000 bounty placed on Sgt. Jim Nelson by Wade as both competitors were disqualified. Mauler, who has never been unmasked during competition, even stated before the match that if he is pinned or submits, he would remove the mask himself. ACW rules state that if a competitor tries to remove the hood of a masked wrestler, he can be disqualified.
During the match, Mauler used a variety of foreign objects on Nelson, who was solely focused of unmasking Mauler. After referee Petty was thrown out of the ring trying to break up the two, he called for a double disqualification. This feud will continue at the next ACW event.

"Wright defeated Robbie Lynn by disqualification when Eclipso attacked him during the match. Wright had just delivered a super kick on Lynn when Eclipso and Wentworth broke up the pin attempt. Wright and Eclipso were exchanging punch after punch when Wright rolled up Eclipso for an apparent three count delivered by Petty. Wright showed everyone once again that he has the ability to defeat Eclipso. This was all Sandy Scott had to see as he made the match next month.

It's Wright vs. Eclipso for the Universal heavyweight belt which will also have a stipulation that if Eclipso loses by disqualification, Wright will win the championship.

"Scott Weddle defeated Eddie Loco by pinfall.
Loco was originally scheduled to take on Big Yella but Yella was replaced by Weddle when Yella was attacked in the dressing room prior to the bout by an unknown assailant and injured his shoulder.
Yella accompanied Weddle to ringside and distracted Loco while Loco was loading his boot to kick Weddle in the head. Instead, Weddle landed a standing drop kick and pinned Loco.

"Scott Lee defeated Ace England by pinfall.
