I am hoping to find anyone who knew Private Charles Carter (my late uncle) who served with The Parachute Regiment in Palestine. I believe he may have been a company signaller at one time.

I was told that he was captured by Jewish terrorists along with an officer and they were both stoned. The story is that the officer died but Charlie Carter survived. Does this ring a bell with anyone?
