Do you know Wallace R.M 2046996 ?

Among my father things I have found a silver disk, an 1" by diameter. Engraved the following: " 2046996 SGT WALLCE R.M PRES. "
It could be from 1940-1947, Palestine.

I will appreciate any info, help, hint or link.
