Hello all,

I am writing a fictional novel set in Palestine in the spring of 1948. I'd be particular interested in hearing from anyone who served in Palestine around this time with specfic reference to the following events.

1) Illegal Jewish immigration
2) Fighting the Haganah, Stern gang, Lehi.
3) The period of civil war between Jews and Palestinian Arabs (1947-1948)
4) Overall impressions of life in Palestine during that period.
