My sister is dying of metastatic breast cancer. I google exactly those words today hoping to find stories to lift my spirits. Diane, your words sound like something my sister Ann would say, not wanting us to know how much pain she is in or how bad she feels. Your story will be a constant reminder to me to always let her know how much she is loved and how brave I know she really is. RIP Diane and thank you.

I am so greatful for finding your site, I lost my Mom to pancreatic cancer 2.5 years ago, a best friend in 2005 to kidney cancer. After spending 2 years taking care of all of her affairs and continuing to help my step dad, I have only now begun to grieve. I cared for her for 7 months, at her home with hospice until 12 hours before her last breath, as I had stepped out for some air. No one speaks of death in a positive way, and we need too, we must. Diane I did not know you, but I love you, you are a beautiful, brave Spirit. Thank you for speaking, until you could no longer, it is stories such as yours that I so desperately need now. To put faces, and hearts to illness and death. To share an experience we will all face at any given moment of our lives here on Earth. God Bless you Diane.

Nice to read your story of faith and courage. My wife was also named Diane. She died on 5/13/13 at age 41 from this horrible disease. Please remember her soul in your prayers
