Hi Melissa-
We used to own Frosty Twist, Gem Twist's fill brother. He was bred by the Chapots and somehow got sold to someone who made him crazy. We called him "Fruitcake Fred." He had been yanked in the mouth a lot and when we got him he would boing up and down. Anyway, we got him so that he would walk trot and canter on command. He was never very good at dressage, but my husband evented him. His forte was to jump and turn. He was great at rollbacks. I guess he is dead now. We sold him at the VA hunter sale to a guy in MD whose student needed to practice show jumping on a horse that had lots of gas.
We had another Twist- Joyful Twist, by Soldier's Joy (I think soldier was by New Twist.) She was a half-bred. We got her as a yearling and sold her as a 3 yo at the VA hunter sale to a guy in Leesburg who wanted a guest hunter. Let me tell you- owning a Twist will challenge you to the limit! Also we had a boarder called Tommy Twist. I think he was a New Twist son. Another challenge. He turned into a dressage horse.
Anyway, nice to hear about the relatives.

What a beautiful story and pictures! I will not worry anymore about whether Zoom has the 'right' new home, I believe he is very lucky to have found you and you, him. He is such a good boy - one of the greatest personalities for a horse I have ever known. God Bless and take good care of our boy, he is special!

You are an inspiration. I love your colt, Cinnamon Twist. I am a Flurry fan and wondered who had Hazel. I JUST got my nursing license. Just graduated. (yay!) I am working toward having a horse of my own, again. It's been a long road. I grew up on a thoroughbred farm. We had a 14.2 broodmare named Queen Frankie who was a Man O War grand daughter--she was stunted from early malnutrition--but boy did she throw some great foals. I think your Trey will do the same. Best of luck to you and him. Remember to keep breathing over the big fences!
