I have set watchmen upon thy walls, O Jerusalem, [which] shall never hold their peace day or night: ye that make mention of the LORD, keep not silence
1 Thessalonians 4:16-18 KJV
For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

Gerry Almond's letter (2/7/26): "in the 1960's, things changed"
"overt evil not only in high places"
Gerry Almond's letter*** of 2/7/26:
This letter below was sent to me from Gerry Almond. He would know
how times have changed!!! I, myself, and my age group were FORCED
by Lyndon Johnson to go die in a UNWINABLE WAR and LIMP BACK
HOME as if we had lost!!! Our nation, at the same time we were getting
into this thing, had pass laws making the abominable act of abortion
legal!!
Matthew 7:2
For with what judgment you judge, you will be judged; and with the
measure you use, it will be measured back to you.

HOW VERY CLOSE TO OUR REMOVAL WE MUST BE
I think that times are desperate. There is so much overt evil not only in high places in our world today, but everywhere, that it seems to cry out for righteousness to somehow, some way return.
I am an old man now, at nearly 94 years of age, but I was a young man in the 1950's. In our town and state, we had occasional scandal, a crime or two now and then, but nothing like what is going on today in America, and indeed the world, The great apostle to the Gentiles said it to his great friend Timothy in 2 Timothy 3;1ff, “This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, without natural affection, truce breakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, traitors, heady, high-minded, lovers of pleasure more than lovers of God; having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: From such turn away. For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers (various) lusts. Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth”.
This is a perfect description of our nation, America, and indeed the world today. I noticed in the riots in various cities “protesting” Immigration and Customs Enforcement activities that many of the protesters are women. Young, misled women. Back in the 1950's, the woman's place was largely in the home with the children. Church buildings were small by today's comparison, and with congregations supporting their local church. Children learned about Jesus in Sunday School. Public school had prayers and students pledged allegiance to the flag of the United States. America was much more Christian minded then that it is now.
But in the 1960's, things changed. And change has been rapidly on a drum roll ever since. Today does not hardly, in any way resemble back then.
How? Why? For one thing, mass evangelistic meetings occurred via the Billy Graham and Oral Roberts mass meetings. Millions upon millions walked the aisle accepting Jesus as their Savior, accepting the idea of eternal security, and making it an excuse to live life as one pleased. Vast millions left the crusade meeting without any plan for discipleship. No Christian growth, just remaining a babe in Christ. Thus was born the Church of Laodicea. Jesus said of this Church Age, “I know thy works, that thou art neither cold or hot. So, then, because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold or hot, I will spew thee out of my mouth”. (Rev 3:15,16). And just look around at this great Church today. Jesus said it this way, “Because thou sayest that I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing: And knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor and blind and naked: (Rev 3:17). And indeed, these are.
Are we near the end of the age of Grace? I certainly believe so.
