DISCLAIMER. MOUNTAIN BIKING CAN BE DANGEROUS. YOU JOIN US AT YOUR OWN RISK.

SAFETY BRIEFING.

  • Wear a helmet. Despite recent advances in medical science, brains still cannot be mended nor replaced.
  • Wear gloves or mitts. Hands often hit the ground first. Cuts and grazes invite infection and a hospital visit.
  • Wear eye protection, it only takes a twig or thorn to lose an eye. Crud catchers are a good idea in mucky weather.
  • When downhilling, for your own protection, allow plenty of space behind the rider in front.
  • Bring a bare minimum emergency tool kit and a spare inner tube.
  • Breakdowns are a bore. Plan not to have any by ensuring your bike is in perfect working order.
  • Punctures are also tedious. You can minimise them by fitting latex tubes, slime tubes or running tubeless tyres.

CamMTB subscriptions

Yes folks, it's that time of the year again. The nights are drawing in, the leaves are falling, the Coven are plotting the winter runslist (fair and balanced, no doubt) and it's time to stump up for an advert-free Forum, should you so desire.

£26 quid to renew, so the usual call for £1 or so from the regulars.

Shall I go ahead and renew?

Paul

Re: CamMTB subscriptions

Hi Paul. I'm in.
Happy to pay 12 monthly instalments of just over 8p if you'd rather...

Re: CamMTB subscriptions

I'm in too.

Rather than pay in installments, I'll reject the use of money and pay you via some amusing asides which you can make at horse/MTB related dinner parties.

Re: CamMTB subscriptions

Count me in too ... think i also owe 12x8p from last year ....

Re: CamMTB subscriptions

i'm out thursday. who do i make the postal order out to?

Re: CamMTB subscriptions

Happy to contribute to an ad free forum.

Re: CamMTB subscriptions

Are you out tonight? I'll give you £1 then if you are. Presumably 100 x 1p coins will be gratefully received?!?

Re: CamMTB subscriptions

Hi Paul

I won't be out till next Tuesday at best, but count me (and Alison) in. Since I'd never heard of this, like Rich we probably owe for last year as well!

If this forum is ad-free, does that mean I'll no longer have the opportunity to carefully consider the purchase of (and then reject) petrol strimmers and tiny shorts?

Re: CamMTB subscriptions
