DISCLAIMER. MOUNTAIN BIKING CAN BE DANGEROUS. YOU JOIN US AT YOUR OWN RISK.

SAFETY BRIEFING.

  • Wear a helmet. Despite recent advances in medical science, brains still cannot be mended nor replaced.
  • Wear gloves or mitts. Hands often hit the ground first. Cuts and grazes invite infection and a hospital visit.
  • Wear eye protection, it only takes a twig or thorn to lose an eye. Crud catchers are a good idea in mucky weather.
  • When downhilling, for your own protection, allow plenty of space behind the rider in front.
  • Bring a bare minimum emergency tool kit and a spare inner tube.
  • Breakdowns are a bore. Plan not to have any by ensuring your bike is in perfect working order.
  • Punctures are also tedious. You can minimise them by fitting latex tubes, slime tubes or running tubeless tyres.

James Vaughn in 2hr senior on his flying pink single speed, thanks for the moral support

Paul Lyons on the 2hr vets

Digby Symons in the 4 hr senior was a supprise to me, he was in a 4th place team at Mayhem, either i am a lot better or he is a lot worse.

sorry if i have missed anyone.

i will get a clip on line of my finish of the 6th lap... you will note that it is a joint 28th....the 4 hour board took a hit as i passed it

Re: WS1 results now up on line

Hiya Pat - good ride man. Went tubeless and 'burped' on my third lap.(Bugger) Stole a pump from the crowd and only lost a minute or two - phew! Lost my number 10 mins before start and lost my car keys but found them later - maybe my mind is pre-occupied....Anyway, the gay pink bike is not quite dead yet, maybe, just maybe one day it will return...If you see a lone (pink) rider out for a night ride it could be my Ghost!

finaly uploaded last few mins of my race, see me get overtaken by a 51 year old and then a woman! Then i manage a photo finish with the man as they cant ride technical stuff.

still haven't worked out the quality problem as the origonal footage is way better.
