SAFETY BRIEFING.

  • Wear a helmet. Despite recent advances in medical science, brains still cannot be mended nor replaced.
  • Wear gloves or mitts. Hands often hit the ground first. Cuts and grazes invite infection and a hospital visit.
  • Wear eye protection, it only takes a twig or thorn to lose an eye. Crud catchers are a good idea in mucky weather.
  • When downhilling, for your own protection, allow plenty of space behind the rider in front.
  • Bring a bare minimum emergency tool kit and a spare inner tube.
  • Breakdowns are a bore. Plan not to have any by ensuring your bike is in perfect working order.
  • Punctures are also tedious. You can minimise them by fitting latex tubes, slime tubes or running tubeless tyres.

Jon's weed

Jon

Your weed is called 'self-heal' (Latin Prunella vulgaris) - common and not harmful and apparently cures nearly anything. You're not going to beat me with your obscure plant related queries. By the way Pasty, that barley was Concerto.

Re: Jon's weed

But what about the oats, Tony, the oats???

You can't wriggle out that easily.

Re: Jon's weed

Without a doubt the oats were Gerald. For all further agricultural variety queries i refer you to my website at http://www.niab.com/pages/id/147/Botanical_Descriptions_of_Varieties

Read and learn.

Re: Jon's weed

This redirects to a porn site, and a good one at that. And I did read, and I did learn.

Was that meant to happen?

Re: Jon's weed

Nice one Tony. You can always count on you college types to know your weed. You say it has healing properties? Just maybe there is a Market for this stuff?!
