DISCLAIMER. MOUNTAIN BIKING CAN BE DANGEROUS. YOU JOIN US AT YOUR OWN RISK.

SAFETY BRIEFING.

  • Wear a helmet. Despite recent advances in medical science, brains still cannot be mended nor replaced.
  • Wear gloves or mitts. Hands often hit the ground first. Cuts and grazes invite infection and a hospital visit.
  • Wear eye protection, it only takes a twig or thorn to lose an eye. Crud catchers are a good idea in mucky weather.
  • When downhilling, for your own protection, allow plenty of space behind the rider in front.
  • Bring a bare minimum emergency tool kit and a spare inner tube.
  • Breakdowns are a bore. Plan not to have any by ensuring your bike is in perfect working order.
  • Punctures are also tedious. You can minimise them by fitting latex tubes, slime tubes or running tubeless tyres.

OK who has broken the forum...

This is what happens when you go away on holiday Pasty!

Can we revert to the old format?

Re: OK who has broken the forum...

It seems that Bravenet have undergone an "upgrade" which has royally fucked up how the top of the forum looks. I first noticed it on my iPhone just before I went in on the PC to edit the runs list and remove the spam.

After my editing it then seemed to kick me out and refused to show my changes. Further attempts at logging in were rebuffed as they said they were having "technical problems".

Checking it tonight, my changes have 'taken', but the text of the forum title is still all wrong. I may give it a couple more days to settle down before I take it upon myself to either (a) complain or (b)reformat. (anything could happen, though)

It was worse though. For a while last night there were lots of other forum's posts mixed up with ours! Looked like a morris dancing forum got in there!

Re: OK who has broken the forum...

Looks like we've been infiltrated by Morris Dancers - possibly the ones we saw at Harlton the other week. Pay heed to what Johnny TwoHat says, we all need bells.

Is Johnny TwoHat related to Puncture TwoHat do you think?

Re: OK who has broken the forum...

Very likely! And if he's got his Johnny with him, he'll have more luck repairing the tube.

Don't you have aspirations to be a Morris Dancer though Tony? Are you, in fact, the infiltrator?
