SAFETY BRIEFING.

  • Wear a helmet. Despite recent advances in medical science, brains still cannot be mended nor replaced.
  • Wear gloves or mitts. Hands often hit the ground first. Cuts and grazes invite infection and a hospital visit.
  • Wear eye protection, it only takes a twig or thorn to lose an eye. Crud catchers are a good idea in mucky weather.
  • When downhilling, for your own protection, allow plenty of space behind the rider in front.
  • Bring a bare minimum emergency tool kit and a spare inner tube.
  • Breakdowns are a bore. Plan not to have any by ensuring your bike is in perfect working order.
  • Punctures are also tedious. You can minimise them by fitting latex tubes, slime tubes or running tubeless tyres.

so anyone out tonight?

i may be running late (very) tonight so may not make the start.
what's the plan?
out on Trumpington rd, down by the allotments, round Addenbrooks, out across the fields lap of the woods(or not) and then out to worts Causeway, roman rd for a lot to Balsham then right across to the water tower, loop of Rivey woods, or 2, then down to Linton and back to Hildersham?

I should be out. route sounds like a plan though have Roman Roaded it quite a lot recently...

Hi Pat,It looks as though JonnieTwat the Morris Dancer has scared everyone away, understanderbly.
Roman rd fine by me,might be a good evening to extend it a bit, perhaps Horseheath-Bartlow-Haw's Hill-Linton if we make suitable progress.
Assume you will have caught us up by the time we get to the Balsham/Linton Rd- and if not would head to the pub(well that's what I'd do), or I'll text you with intended route when we get there if I remember.
