SAFETY BRIEFING.

  • Wear a helmet. Despite recent advances in medical science, brains still cannot be mended nor replaced.
  • Wear gloves or mitts. Hands often hit the ground first. Cuts and grazes invite infection and a hospital visit.
  • Wear eye protection, it only takes a twig or thorn to lose an eye. Crud catchers are a good idea in mucky weather.
  • When downhilling, for your own protection, allow plenty of space behind the rider in front.
  • Bring a bare minimum emergency tool kit and a spare inner tube.
  • Breakdowns are a bore. Plan not to have any by ensuring your bike is in perfect working order.
  • Punctures are also tedious. You can minimise them by fitting latex tubes, slime tubes or running tubeless tyres.

Willingham on the map? New Micro Pub

Micro Pub opens in Willingham this Wednesday,formally Lloyds Tsb Bank and surprising the Pub is called The Bank. The guy who owns the post office in the village will be running the Pub, It's a new venture for him, the Pub will only be selling Ales and German Beers, and not wife beater P*ss water. Pastey is this one for the runs list?Just don't tell Duncan and stick it on.

If its true that the 3 Horseshoes Comberton has shut (I am awaiting verification on that one), then I propose this destination to replace 3 Horseshoes Comberton on 3/01/2013.

What do you think Shelton?

I thought the three horse shoes is on the market?, great shame if it is closing. Ask Cookie, would be good if Willingham could be put on the runs list though a little flat for some.

The three horse shoes has closed. There is currently a caretaker in to look after the building. There is a note on the door to say it will be reopening at some point (when Enterprise get off their back sides and get a manager...)

I'm sure with you being good with pipes you would be able to manage the pumps very well, free ale to all cam mtb riders.
