SAFETY BRIEFING.

  • Wear a helmet. Despite recent advances in medical science, brains still cannot be mended nor replaced.
  • Wear gloves or mitts. Hands often hit the ground first. Cuts and grazes invite infection and a hospital visit.
  • Wear eye protection, it only takes a twig or thorn to lose an eye. Crud catchers are a good idea in mucky weather.
  • When downhilling, for your own protection, allow plenty of space behind the rider in front.
  • Bring a bare minimum emergency tool kit and a spare inner tube.
  • Breakdowns are a bore. Plan not to have any by ensuring your bike is in perfect working order.
  • Punctures are also tedious. You can minimise them by fitting latex tubes, slime tubes or running tubeless tyres.

Off topic but may be of interest to those that really do work...

If you work for (or own) a 'small to medium sized enterprise' (SME) you can apply for free business advice funded by the EU (sorry Peter Burkinshaw) through NIABs Innovation Farm.

https://www.innovationfarm.co.uk/page/free-business-advice-and-support

This is limited to businesses in East Anglia and is available to businesses in any sector (not just agricultural). If you're interested take a look at the web link and get in touch. Promo over. Where's my bike?

Re: Off topic but may be of interest to those that really do work...

I have it and I'm smashing it up because it's a bike.

Love

Tony,
Would it be better for all and sundry if you were to pass me your outer garment?
