SAFETY BRIEFING.

  • Wear a helmet. Despite recent advances in medical science, brains still cannot be mended nor replaced.
  • Wear gloves or mitts. Hands often hit the ground first. Cuts and grazes invite infection and a hospital visit.
  • Wear eye protection, it only takes a twig or thorn to lose an eye. Crud catchers are a good idea in mucky weather.
  • When downhilling, for your own protection, allow plenty of space behind the rider in front.
  • Bring a bare minimum emergency tool kit and a spare inner tube.
  • Breakdowns are a bore. Plan not to have any by ensuring your bike is in perfect working order.
  • Punctures are also tedious. You can minimise them by fitting latex tubes, slime tubes or running tubeless tyres.

riding advice?

I'm suffering corporate paralysis today, I think it was brought on by thermal stress. Is there good riding around here to cure it?

Re: riding advice?

I think you'll find that the paralysis and thermal stress are probably caused by engineering vortices.Riding around here won't help. Getting lucky at the weekend might.

Re: riding advice?

From what I understand.....,.....,....., 'Dem Badgers' offer many forms of executive stress relief that may be conducive to non matrimonial relief......I have heard!!
Or if that doesn't work, take lessons in the Pat 'Der tree hugger' enlightenment through IMBA, (The international monster Badger association) and Bring The woods of Harlton back to it's former glory.....praise be my Lord!

Re: riding advice?

What are you lot on and can I have some?

Re: riding advice?

Mark T found himself out of his intellectual depth in the pub so attempted to disguise his ignorance with wit.

It didn't work.

Oh, and he was bemoaning the lack of twaddle on the forum these days...
