SAFETY BRIEFING.

  • Wear a helmet. Despite recent advances in medical science, brains still cannot be mended nor replaced.
  • Wear gloves or mitts. Hands often hit the ground first. Cuts and grazes invite infection and a hospital visit.
  • Wear eye protection, it only takes a twig or thorn to lose an eye. Crud catchers are a good idea in mucky weather.
  • When downhilling, for your own protection, allow plenty of space behind the rider in front.
  • Bring a bare minimum emergency tool kit and a spare inner tube.
  • Breakdowns are a bore. Plan not to have any by ensuring your bike is in perfect working order.
  • Punctures are also tedious. You can minimise them by fitting latex tubes, slime tubes or running tubeless tyres.

Sounds like a plan. I expect you'll be riding home tonight Jon?

What's with the message icons?

I hope to be out, but not yet certain.

Not sure how you're doing those message icons...

Re: Plough & Fleece Horningsea

Alison and I are fairly keen, despite the inevitable mud...

If there's the slightest sign of rain we might change our minds!

Yep, I am out on my new SS

Re: Plough & Fleece Horningsea

Just posting to see if I get a subject icon

Last three attempts have been considered spam. Anyone else experiencing the same?

Edit: Shucks, no icon

Re: Plough & Fleece Horningsea

No, all good for me...

Re: Plough & Fleece Horningsea

I got an icon on the edit, whoopee

Maybe you have to edit to get an icon?

Nope, that didn't work. It must be a randomly generated icon....

Oh, I'll not be out tonight btw.

Re: Plough & Fleece Horningsea

so far everyone posting on this thread has had an icon infront of the subject line........except your last post Dom.
did you break it or fix it?

edit:- back again
