SAFETY BRIEFING.

  • Wear a helmet. Despite recent advances in medical science, brains still cannot be mended nor replaced.
  • Wear gloves or mitts. Hands often hit the ground first. Cuts and grazes invite infection and a hospital visit.
  • Wear eye protection, it only takes a twig or thorn to lose an eye. Crud catchers are a good idea in mucky weather.
  • When downhilling, for your own protection, allow plenty of space behind the rider in front.
  • Bring a bare minimum emergency tool kit and a spare inner tube.
  • Breakdowns are a bore. Plan not to have any by ensuring your bike is in perfect working order.
  • Punctures are also tedious. You can minimise them by fitting latex tubes, slime tubes or running tubeless tyres.

Wittlesford tonight?

Ok as it's lunch time and no one has posted let me start the ball rolling.

anyone out tonight?

i have to say i'm not ridingtonight as i have wrecked my knees running on tuesday and Spinning class night made them worse, i have witnesses if evidence is required for the excuse list. see Dom.

dont think i will make it to the pub either as even driving is painfull and pain killers don't mix with beer......well not in a good way!

Re: Wittlesford tonight?

Have snotty lurgy, but I plan to make an appearance just to spread the love, as it were.

Will probably make a lame excuse and not ride as fast/far.

Yep, I am coming out (No tongues tonight then pale Rider)

Re: Wittlesford tonight?

I think I'm still recovering from the snotty lurgy, so I'll give it a miss (again). I'll see you when I get back from two weeks' holiday, hopefully.
