SAFETY BRIEFING.

  • Wear a helmet. Despite recent advances in medical science, brains still cannot be mended nor replaced.
  • Wear gloves or mitts. Hands often hit the ground first. Cuts and grazes invite infection and a hospital visit.
  • Wear eye protection, it only takes a twig or thorn to lose an eye. Crud catchers are a good idea in mucky weather.
  • When downhilling, for your own protection, allow plenty of space behind the rider in front.
  • Bring a bare minimum emergency tool kit and a spare inner tube.
  • Breakdowns are a bore. Plan not to have any by ensuring your bike is in perfect working order.
  • Punctures are also tedious. You can minimise them by fitting latex tubes, slime tubes or running tubeless tyres.

Cannock 10th July

Hi guys,
There will be a transit van going to Cannock Chase on Sunday 10th July for the whole day. The van will be leaving from Arrington (just north of Royston) and there will be space for 2 or 3 riders including bikes. The cost of fuel is divided by the amount of people coming so if it is a van load, then it may just be a fiver each (return). Departure time may be around 9.30-10am and you can probably expect to return about 4 or 5pm. If you are interested in coming with me, drop me a text on 07402903114 to discuss more. My name is David and I occasionally ride with Camb MTB on a green Cannonade Scalpel 29er. For those of you who haven't been to Cannock.. it's like Thetford but with hills. Very exciting!
Thank you
