SAFETY BRIEFING.

  • Wear a helmet. Despite recent advances in medical science, brains still cannot be mended nor replaced.
  • Wear gloves or mitts. Hands often hit the ground first. Cuts and grazes invite infection and a hospital visit.
  • Wear eye protection, it only takes a twig or thorn to lose an eye. Crud catchers are a good idea in mucky weather.
  • When downhilling, for your own protection, allow plenty of space behind the rider in front.
  • Bring a bare minimum emergency tool kit and a spare inner tube.
  • Breakdowns are a bore. Plan not to have any by ensuring your bike is in perfect working order.
  • Punctures are also tedious. You can minimise them by fitting latex tubes, slime tubes or running tubeless tyres.

Summer Runslist is Up

Hi All,

Thanks to Paul, our esteemed RLF, we have a new summer runslist.

It looks good to me, but if you're inclined to melancholy then please use the "Gripes" section of the Forum to vent your spleen.

I've shrunk the text to optimise it for mobile devices, however, I've just noticed that the gridlines on the table haven't translated well so will fix this.

Please send me photo's for the forum - JPEG's are best and around 2-3 Mp is about the right size. It needn't be clean.

Re: Summer Runslist is Up

Lovely stuff Pastry - many thanks to you and Paulo for creating a well balanced runs list to bring us through these lovely summer months. A big fan of the fenland notes at the start of August, Horningsea and Reach are both fine destinations and equate to a home match for people such as Richard and me.

Sensational!
