SAFETY BRIEFING.

  • Wear a helmet. Despite recent advances in medical science, brains still cannot be mended nor replaced.
  • Wear gloves or mitts. Hands often hit the ground first. Cuts and grazes invite infection and a hospital visit.
  • Wear eye protection, it only takes a twig or thorn to lose an eye. Crud catchers are a good idea in mucky weather.
  • When downhilling, for your own protection, allow plenty of space behind the rider in front.
  • Bring a bare minimum emergency tool kit and a spare inner tube.
  • Breakdowns are a bore. Plan not to have any by ensuring your bike is in perfect working order.
  • Punctures are also tedious. You can minimise them by fitting latex tubes, slime tubes or running tubeless tyres.

***PLEASE READ - IMPORTANT INFO ABOUT THE XMAS MEAL***

Hi All,

Two things about next weeks Christmas Meal:-

1; YOU WILL NEED TO PAY FOR YOUR MEAL THIS WEEK. Paul has paid the deposit on the meal, so you will need to reimburse him if not done already. BUT you will also need to pay the balance, preferably to him. If you have already paid, please ignore.

2; We sit down to eat at 7:00 pm, rather than the usual later time. The Maypole have another party after us. Make sure that you're on time or you risk missing your food.

That's all for now.

PT

Re: ***PLEASE READ - IMPORTANT INFO ABOUT THE XMAS MEAL***

Hi Pasty,

I'm not likely to see you or Paul before the Efent, and I have not paid a deposit. So is it OK to pitch up on the night with three crisp tenners?

Have taken note of the 19:00 sit down btw.

Looking forward to it, and thanks for organising

Hi Pete

No problem, happy to take your crisp tenners on the night!

See you Thursday

Paul
