SAFETY BRIEFING.

  • Wear a helmet. Despite recent advances in medical science, brains still cannot be mended nor replaced.
  • Wear gloves or mitts. Hands often hit the ground first. Cuts and grazes invite infection and a hospital visit.
  • Wear eye protection, it only takes a twig or thorn to lose an eye. Crud catchers are a good idea in mucky weather.
  • When downhilling, for your own protection, allow plenty of space behind the rider in front.
  • Bring a bare minimum emergency tool kit and a spare inner tube.
  • Breakdowns are a bore. Plan not to have any by ensuring your bike is in perfect working order.
  • Punctures are also tedious. You can minimise them by fitting latex tubes, slime tubes or running tubeless tyres.

Next ride?

Dear CAMMTB

After a summer of riding out alone I ve finally made the big push and written to ask when your next ride is scheduled? I would like to join the group. Many thanks Martín owen, from Landbeach

Re: Next ride?

Hi Martin, at the moment we are just riding in pairs due to the current government restrictions.
When these are lifted I suspect we will move back to rides in groups of 6 this does not mean only 6 as we have split into smaller groups which have ridden separately. At the moment we are only meeting on Thursdays would be great to see you along, just make yourself known on the forum when a ride is announced (usually on the wed or thu) then come along with a good set of lights and a working bike. We will adjust our speed to suit the people riding

Re: Next ride?

Many thanks Richard. I watch out. Best wishes martin
