  • Wear a helmet. Despite recent advances in medical science, brains still cannot be mended nor replaced.
  • Wear gloves or mitts. Hands often hit the ground first. Cuts and grazes invite infection and a hospital visit.
  • Wear eye protection, it only takes a twig or thorn to lose an eye. Crud catchers are a good idea in mucky weather.
  • When downhilling, for your own protection, allow plenty of space behind the rider in front.
  • Bring a bare minimum emergency tool kit and a spare inner tube.
  • Breakdowns are a bore. Plan not to have any by ensuring your bike is in perfect working order.
  • Punctures are also tedious. You can minimise them by fitting latex tubes, slime tubes or running tubeless tyres.

Re: Greetings

Gosh... what was all about!??
Good news, (for me anyway) Tested 6 times, all negative and starting to feel better. One of my customers told me there daughter had a similar thing last week.
So Claire, as you can see not a lot has changed!!

Re: Greetings

Hi Duncan yes you still don't make sense are you saying everyone still spends vast amounts of money on lights?

You can give me the low down on Wednesday.

Re: Greetings

I didn't go to them chequers last week, so it woz not me what didn't give the 'vid to them wot didn't get it anyway.

Welcome back!

Re: Greetings

Welcome back Mrs Dwarf! Long time - no see!

I hope those kids aren't still saluting the stars and stripes every morning :)

On the lights front, yep, those Maxx-D or whatevers from USE are pretty good. I'm on LED Lumicycle lights and dusting off my enduro battery for those long winter night rides, although I had mine upgraded by the factory to 1800 and 2300 lumens a while back.

Don't forget a back light, although not as dazzling as you used to ride.

So good to have you back.

Re: Greetings
