Re: The Gambia vs Lesotho

Dear Robert,

I have asked my co_workers in Gambia to check this out, if it is like many other events you are likely to have to turn up an take your chances. But with Football all Gambia erupts with enthusiasm, if it is possible to get advanced tickets, I'll get back to you with prices.

Just wondering whether anyone knows how to obtain tickets for the African nations Cup Qualifier in Banjul on 12/10/02. I only arrive in The Gambia from the UK the day before the game so am hoping that it is possible to obtain them at the stadium on the day of the match. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Many thanks! I expect I'll just go to the stadium and hopefully someone will be selling them there then.

Hi Robert, I go to football in the Bakau stadium whenever I am in The Gambia. In my experience even for international matches I always get a ticket by just turning up with , what appears to be the whole of the rest of the Gambian population, on matchday.... One piece of `advice` ,try to get a seat in the covered side of the stadium as the Gambian sun is mercilous and you might also get caught in a downpour at this time of year. Be prepared for a very different experience and game if you have not been before... Relax and enjoy. I wish I was going with you!

Anyone on the chat room know how Walidan did this season ?

Best Wishes, David
