We have also just learn'd of the new tax that has to be paid on entering the Gambia via our travel agent. We have been told to have ready a £5 note as the customs "never seem to have any change"! Our views are that we have no problem giving this £5 if it goes to help the local Gambians but will it just line the officals pockets?
