Have spent most of my life exploring central coastal Jersey, as a Scout and as an adult. Still am sorry I didn\'t document various things (railroads) as a kid. Now, they\'re darn near-gone. Use my email, we should be in touch with each other. Harv |

Nice set of sites and an obvious labor of love. I was going to email some comments and questions but the "comments" link from the home page gives an email address that bounces! Might want to change it. |

My grandfather was one of the few to move to Beachwood when a New York news paper offered lots for subscriptions, which was done to develope the area. The train was his main transportation since he came from Flemington , N.J.! I could not find info on the spur that was added for ASARCO Minning that was done in the early 70's in the Manchester area off rute 70. I beleve the track is still exist! I worked their and jockied train bins around |

I grew up in Toms River and used to watch the trains all the time. They would go to Trilco or down to the sand plant in Bayville. What a shame they still don't run. The kids today, in this area, don't have what we had back then. They are more interested in video games and TV. What a waste. |
