There is a homeless woman who lives in the woods behind my office who I've gotten to know a bit, She's probably in her 30s - hard to tell. I waa concerned about her in the cold last week. She says she is interested in finding a shelter to live in and being trained for some work (she's never worked). She wants to stay in/near Hernando county/Spring Hill . The only place I thought I knew for her was Holy Ground on Rte 19 in Hudson. She said it's for men only. I found this site through a "google" and will pass on the info as I promised. Does anyone know of any other place and/or services that can help me help her. I will only be working at the location for about a month. I would like to leave knowing that atleast she has information,someone maybe to guide her through the system and choices can be HERS.
I'm an old psych nurse who worked in Substance Abuse for 8-10 yrs. I certainly know about "enabling" and "codependency". I'm not going there - just want to lend a hand if I can.

Would appreciate ANY and ALL info you can share as to resources in this area. Thanks! Consider it a "mitzvah" for the day (no, I'm not Christian but she is. THANKS!!!
